Antique French leather bound wooden travelling trunk case made by Maison Au Touriste of Paris in the early 20th Century. Pine wood construction, completely covered in a dark beige (probably cream originally!) leather. Brass catches and lock on the front (sorry, no keys). Fabric lined inside. Maker's name inside, on a plaque outside, and engraved in the lock. Originally there'd have been straps which went over the lid, and leather handles at the sides, but these are missing now. Condition otherwise is pretty good structurally; cosmetically there are various marks, scuffs and dings and the colour is darkened and a bit inconsistent. Fabric inside quite worn. Could probably be cleaned up but there's a certain charm to it as is; the price reflects the condition.. Dimensions: 91cm x 41cm x 45cm high
